I took maestro up on his offer to come see his office. Nice setup. He gave me a tour and a quick presentation of the technology they are using. No price charts, it's all based on sentiment. The trading station with the 24 monitors is quite impressive to see. I'm curious to learn more about it. His web page is supposed to be up in 2 weeks which will provide more information. I'm sure maestro will let us know when its running.
Thanks chuckm_ca for your kind words. Our web site is under construction due to the company's name change and also due to SEC requirements to submit the content of the site for their approval. Although the site it self is ready to go our lawyers advised us not to release it till the written SEC approval. Cheers.
MAESTRO, All sentiment and no price charts. Interesting. May I ask what kind of annual return your trading generates as well as the largest drawdown, in percentage terms? Just curious.
Last year we have generated around 60% return on our peak trading capital. Our largest drawdown was around 18%. There was no down month though. Our worst two months were January and February of this year were we had almost no gain. We are doing better in March and April.
My hopes were a lot higher. I'm somewhat disappointed. Obviously, there are still lots of work to do! We are launching our new option algorithm in two weeks. Hopefully it will improve our results a bit.
... and for $3500 you to can soon BUY the software from this company !!! Maestro although you have impressed everyone with your set up is it not true that you intend to sell this sentiment software to the public ? Is it also true that your set up is primarily a display for the sale of the software too ? Look if it is that's cool, just be upfront about it and so everyone knows the whole story!
Our software have never been and never will be for sale! You are probably mistaking us with someone else. We did offer our software (when we tested it) for free to about 100 different people and the only charge was the transaction fees at the level of IB + $0.0035 a share (As an introducing broker). But now we have stopped doing even that. Our trading set up is not even for show as we are not offering our fund publicly yet. When you visit our office (hopefully this week) you'll see that there is no hint of us selling anything. There were some business discussions with various prop firms about licensing our software to them but nothing came through so far. At some point of time (If we are successful) I would imagine some institutions would probably want to license our software and our trading set up, but I don't think that we will offer our system to individuals at all.
