Cool, one system I dedicate to purely entertainment, thousands of songs / movies.. plus backups .. I have to get 4K TVs on wall space..
I tried an early 4k and found it to be illegible without tweaking settings. My colleague (in 2014) liked to monitor systems/markets from across the room like watching sports stats on a TV at a bar and it was reasonably good for that. I think things with 4k are way better now.
Geesh...your workstation looks like you built something to protect yourself in a war zone as if you don't want to get hit by any bullets. Yet, maybe you don't want the radiation from your equipment to spread beyond the boundaries of your desk...like as if its a quarantine area.
I used to sit in there with an EEG and tDCS strapped to my head while trading. I didn't want to be disturbed or viewed by people in the office other than certain colleagues. I came very close to having a float tank installed too... probably not a typical approach to workspace. I thought of it as a trading enabled meditation enhancement chamber.
Geodesic structure is best, just large enough for single reclined seat. The monitors can be affixed to the frame at different angle points and heights. Plus ideal for ventilating heat.
I hate complicated, fancy trading computer setups. -- i just use one 14" laptop. The bigger, and more important, question with people with big expensive complicated setups...are: What are your % or money returns
