imo the room is way too bright..hard to concentrate in such environment..i prefer a way darker..but...aluminum blinds should solve the problem.
contemporary minimalist style is not my favored either.
here is old picture of my workplace. i trade on couple PC's and do some programming at same time on third one. and last one is for gaming. trade all day is boring you know..
that's why on top of gaming PC i have a couch on left :)

I suppose there's an adjustment period, but I'm sure I wouldn't be productive with that many. It reminds me of poker, where most played 1-4 tables, the pros usually at least 6, and some of us 12+ (I could do 14 decently). It was like a penis measuring contest. One guy at the time pushed it to 35-40. In the end I decided I preferred played a single heads-up table, kind of like just watching a few forex charts.

  5. That's great! I used to do that. I used to have two monitors with 4x4 tiny charts each so that I could monitor 32 stocks. Whenever one of them moves, I would notice.

But now I focus on trading only a few. I still have many small charts... but those are charts of the same set of 5 stocks in different time-frames. (e.g. 15 min, 5 min, 1 min, 288 tick, etc.).

Do you find the sun shining in bothering you when you look at the computer screens? I usually don't like looking at computer screen in bright places, especially outdoor.

It has that out of town corporate office feel - you can't get away from the corporation mentally or even physically at lunchtime - a lot of people HATE satellte offices.

  8. Well actually, there's no sun shining in!
When the US markets open, it's 3:30 p.m. here. And the sun is out of my windows at 1:00 p.m. I arrive at the office at 2:00 p.m. So no problems with brightness.
The pictures were taken in the morning.

Well, it's not a city office, that's a fact, but the view isn't bad at all actually. But that's just taste.
But believe me, when I traded from home, in a room with only 1 window, that was depressing for me. That's why I chose that office!

I'm sorry to disappoint you. It's a HE.
But you might find him attractive!
    haha.

    ScreenLocal,
You are lucky to have such a green and sunny view when most of the world is freezing in winter.
Which city/country are you live in?
