The design wind speed in Houston is 110mph and it has been forever. I don't know when that building was built but that's moot. Whomever designed that building should be held accountable for a failed design. I'm sure you have insurance (AIG maybe?). But insurance is likely to only cover hard cost of repairs. You also suffer loss of use, loss of productivity, and even worse, what's not broken out YET is still not up to par. The winds in Houston (measured at 30 above ground level) did not exceed design wind speed. That building should have been designed per ASCE-7 which requires the windows to not only withstand the pressures generated by the winds but also large missle impact up to 30' above grade and small missle impact up to 60' above grade. As the height goes up so do the pressures. They should have a wind tunnel test from when it was designed. Tell your legal department to get some good (Ph.D., P.E.) expert witnesses and go battle whomever designed that building.
Let's get back to the original thread.... Here is what is use to play "the game"..... that i love. 3 sp2208wfp dell monitors.
After you make some more cheese, it might be time for a bigger desk. Those monitors are just about ready to fall off.
Here's my contribution - lighting's a bit bad since it was taken late at night. The Carlsberg's a giveaway . Running InvestorRT, TWS and X-Trader Pro on 2 PC's (one superfluous keyboard included). Using Ransquawk for news, so no newsstation.
Trading system is for trading. Separate system with separate feed for news, internet, e-mail, porn, etc. Who would want to clog up and infect a trading system with all that stuff?
I got three monitors and a 15" LCD TV for CNBC on a desk at least twice as big as yours. I don't know how you guys do it without some real estate.
