Might be interesting for those who don't want to watch videos or play 3D-Games on their trading stations : http://www.displaylink.com/ Kalle
I know for a fact ( because I have one ) that the Dell T3400 Precision Workstation comes with a X38 motherboard that has 2 PCI-Express 16x slots in it. For an additional $80.00, you can configure the machine to have a 2nd Quadra NVS-290 PCI-Express card that will then give you the capability to support a 3rd and 4th monitor. http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/precn_t3400?c=us&l=en&s=biz&cs=555
My Dell only has one PCI-Express 16x slot in it, yet I have six monitors connected. Works perfect. But if I were buying a new PC, the extra PCI-Express 16x slot would be high on my list of requirements.
I know I'm spoilt, but check out the view of Table Mountain from my trading desk. Puts a smile on my face every day!
