  2. The 24's are nice.

Do you use one or two for trading? Day trade, swing or invest?

are you using the LCD only? or are you using the LCD in addition to the notebook screen?

are you aware that with notebooks, you can use both screens to display different stuff?

  4. Great set-up, I would love a set up like that. Set up the Monitors and keybroad on a holiday home, move the two laptops on Thursday night, trade there Friday and start the weekend early..

    Sweet...

    Thanks

I am day/swing trader. I mostly trade futures on commodities, indices and forex. I tend to hold open positions over night and set very wide stop-loss. Because of that, sometimes I turn my profits into losses. Still need to work on to reduce these losses but so far that strategy brings me more profit than setting very tight stop-loss.

I use both laptops for trading. The RHS one is used for trade executions. That one doesnt have many programs installed and not used for internet surfing at all. The LHS one is mainly for charts and news checking. I modified the EclipseTrader to collect news from all the sources so I dont have to open websites all the time.

I also have another PC running Linux which I am building my futures/options model.

I dont use the laptop LCDs coz I prefer using the big LCDs :). I find 2 LCDs are not enough, just order a workstation which supports output to 4 LCDs, will post the picture of the new setup soon.
