Thanks StockzTrader. I'll have to check out radio shack. On weekends I typically nerd-out with the computer since the markets aren't open, wife is out of town, and I have time.
Yes sulli, but geeks that trade and make money to buy even more trading hardware! Since the wife is out of town Bandit, it looks like you're on vacation
No problem with this at all. This is why I bought the 2407WFP's. They have huge 178/178 degree view angle. The older dells (05's) have much worse view angle (175/130) than the 07's. Try to get the newer versions if possible. The 07's are also faster. This is also why Digital Tigers uses them (and the Samsung) Your 3007WFP would have this good view angle.
dang, that's why the 22's are cheaper. oh well, looks like I'll have to look into the 24's the next upgrade cycle. why not just get six 30's eh?
can't wait until tomorrow though. the first live fire test will be telling. hopefully Tradestation has enough bandwidth to send me the increased amount of data.
I like that idea, six 30's!!! Let us know about the bandwidth of Tradestation. I use Scottrade and finally narrowed my bottle-neck down to them! Bought the fast quad-core PC and even paid more money to the cable company for an even faster connection. I keep my data on a diet as much as I can Much success on Monday trading with your new panels
Thanks buddy. Good fortune to you as well. I used Scottrade elite for a while and had some issues with execution. the platform also blanked out on me here and there. I've had Tradestation lag on me- one day the data was coming about 4-5 minutes after. I knew because IB's data is correct or it blanks out. arguably, it's better for the platform to blank out then give you old data. good thing I wasn't trading based purely on Tradestation.
Thanks. ScottradeELITE works fine now. There was a time when it liked to freeze and dump on me. It's been working fine for almost a year now after they did a revision on the software and cleaned it up. Almost went over to Tradestation but then realized all the programmability would not serve me. Not to mention the high trading fees. Someone suggested I do enough trades to get the platform free and then make trades in Scottrade. Things just move too fast for me to do cross platforms I guess. I suppose that there are issues with any broker and we just have to live with what ever quirks they each have. Trade well, and don't forget to put your sunglasses on when in front of your panels (just kidding)
What for do anybody need four processor system in a trading platform? It is pure snobbism! Two things are really important. One is very fast and minimum 1GB (800mhz) memory, second, fast internet connection 1mbp/s at least! Did you ever ask yourself, if the Windows XP or new bugged Vista will support four processor pc system? Also you should check what version of OS gonna be run on your new pc x32 or x64 version?! Quad-core PC will not help you in any way picking gooood, hot, perspective stocks!
