Where is it best to have your window placed? Mine is directly behind me when facing the monitor. Also looking forward to the pic of the set-up. ==== It looks like there is a severe possibility i'm going to be posting an image of my set-up soon because eSignal just deemed me unworthy of their services, so I'm going to need to get another monitor to hold another charting package, ProphetX is the likely canidate. So that will be interesting.
jay, i have seven monitors on one one leg stand... it is ergotron...i looked on their site and mixed prepacked configurations and a few extra parts and got a great deal... i talked to their tech support and they figured it out for me exactly what parts i needed... it has to do with both size and weight... they were not sure if it would work but i gave it a shot and it is perfect...
I am thinking of upgrading by adding a 24"monitor to my pair of 15" samsungs. Will the 24 be grainy at all and what software/card do I need to achieve this miracle?
Anyone use XView to set up their monitors and stand package? I see them here at the Trader's Expo and for $750 a screen for 15" flat screen you get the screen and the stand combined. So for 6 screens it is $4,500 which includes the flat screen hardware to have them stacked tight 3 across the bottom and 3 across the top. First instinct is that it is a bit pricey but what I like is that you get the stand which is modular so you can add or take off more screens and take out the extra brakcets or add as needed. So if you only do 4 you can always add 2 more at a later time. Anyway, thoughts? www.xview.com is the site where they have screen shots
There are much cheaper solutions. http://store.ergoindemand.com/Search.bok?category=LCD+Monitor+Arms:Multiple+Monitor+Mounts http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=A0647733 About 1/4 of the price of XView!
Could not edit anymore so wanted to add the link where they show there display options. Anyone use them/: http://www.xview.com/products/displays.html#
My thoughts: any stand that costs more than $75 per monitor is too much. If you really shop, $50/monitor is good. You can buy this quad stand for $225 plus shipping: http://cgi.ebay.com/ERGOTRON-QUAD-2...821189856QQcategoryZ51052QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (or search for 33-096-200 on Froogle) and add this one if you don't want a 6 monitors all on one stand: http://ergotron.com/ConsumerProduct...155/ctl/Product/mid/541/PRDID/15/Default.aspx Add 6 17" monitors for $200 each and total cost is ~ $1600. Lots of ways to do it. I put some shelves on the wall above my desk and I have three 19 inchers on the shelf with three 15 inchers sitting on the desk below them and a bit in front of the shelf.
