I don't know what kind of person he was, but a life spent with books can't have been all bad. Got a lot of time for people "read" as well as "do". And a 10k library... Class. Suss
Really? Where? Costa Rica is a hole in the ground...there is NO culture, the women AREN'T attractive, too many tourists, food is crap, beaches suck, San Jose is a dump, Caribbean is okay but Panama is ten times nicer. And they have roads that don't have 3 foot potholes...I understand living somewhere foreign...but Costa Rica is a dump. Have you been to Panama? Mexico? Brazil? They all blow Costa Rica to smithereens and actually have good beaches and forestry which Costa Rica is famous for. Costa Rica's cloud forests(you live in Monteverde or something?) are pretty...but really nothing special at all.
Where in Hawaii? I'm originally from Kailua, but shipped off to the mainland (Cal) once of school age, except for summers. Cheers, Jay
Do you guys think reading that many books really benefits people? Would they have been better off reading less and learning by doing?
Agree, I am in Panama and everybody leaves CR to come here, gas is $2.30 a gallon, cars are about the same price as the USA, no tax on trading gains or local bank interest, etc, etc, etc
Attaboy...Panama is definitely liveable. I've been to a lot of places and Panama is one of most likeable and liveable from what I've seen....going by Western World standards that is. Isla Contadora is my choice location to live...15 minute flight from the city and so gorgeous...thought about buying a place there but my wife is from Mexico and it would be like cheating on my adopted country! cheers...yes, people like Costa Rica for some reason...until they go to Panama and see how nice it is there.
