Pictures of the Great Depression

  1. first off, depression?: Yes, recession?: no.

    Yes yes, long term, check, Change in spending habits? check. Even a change in population distribution is happening, so check.

    Meanshile, ya'all need to get your head out of you're asses (that's you people, in this forum) Tenant cities? Labor unions? Home-lessness is rising; soup kitchens and shelters are literally running out of money; food stamp use has doubled.

    Of course, unemployment is also high-double what it use to be, at one point, it was nearly triple what it used to be.

    Ya got the picture? no, fox news isn't going to put pictures of the local soup line in it's evening news on a regular basis; niether will CNN. "Depression" photos are not sexy, they are not shiny. They are depressing.

    But if we are going to talk about a depression, lets compare apples to apples, and oranges to oranges, eh?
