I'm quite certain it's a proof of 'directly downwind faster than the wind', rather than 'push and pull are the same'.

But then that's just me. LOL

  2. Maybe you guys could help NASA out with that little balloon problem...

  3. Forget about wind for the second and just look at your mechanism.
I will try with a baby steps.
    What is moving propeller?
Energy created by the moving wheels.
You are using an outside force applied to the wheels (treadmill).
Now if you could take that treadmill belt and wrap it around the wheel.
At this stage your devise will not move but will created an air force by the propeller and will push the air behind it.
Now if you could make treadmill so tiny that you could hook it up to the devise than your device will become mobile and will be able to move.
Still same energy applied to tires.
    At this stage:
Is devise powered by the energy applied to the wheels or wind?

    Edit:
To make it being power by wind only you’ll need first propeller being powered by wind trough a gear move another propeller (just like in the bicycle).

  4. I just noticed your discussion with Wayne where you already answered same questions.
I actually agree that it is possible I disagree with the device presented in the first video.

    Thanks, very interesting subject.

Thanks, it is a fun topic for some ... very frustrating for others.

So I can better respond, would you mind being more clear on which video you are calling "the first video"? I'm not sure if you're going back a year on the thread or my more recent postings.

    Thanks

For those in Canada, a segment on this topic is being aired today on the Discovery Channel's Daily Planet show.

Thanks gwb. It's a bit of an off topic here on Elite, but there are science and physics forums with threads and posts totalling more than 100K. There is one thread alone arguing about this project that has more than thirty thousand posts on it.

Most still consider it impossible even while it's being done.
