  2. Game Theory huh...

You might wanna look into the Bertrand Equilibrium, not the Nash Equilibrium. Since Nas assumes that all competitors will work like a team, or collude. While Bertrand assumes that the competitors will cut each other´s throats at the first chance... If you look at the markets they´re a lot more like the second, you blink twice and te competition will eat you alive. Plus Bertrand leads to a much more efficient setting of prices, since even with two competitors prices are competitive.

  3. Bengals down Raiders, 27-10

CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Bengals weren't about to be fooled again.

A franchise first - two 100-yard receivers and a 100-yard rusher in a game - carried the Bengals to a 27-10 win over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

In the past, such a "gimme" game sometimes saw a Bengals letdown. Witness last year's 37-27 loss to Buffalo on Christmas Eve.

So Coach Marvin Lewis stopped practice several times during the week to fuss and light a fire.

"He wanted to make sure we knew how important this game was," said Willie Anderson, the Bengals right tackle. "Because we had the Buffalo game last season. We had the Cleveland game of `03 (a 22-14 season-ending loss). . . . That's one thing we harped on all week, was not let this team come and stay around in the ball game."

The Bengals (8-5), winners of four in a row, got two scores and 117 yards on 30 carries by Rudi Johnson. T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught eight passes for 118 yards and a TD. Chad Johnson snared five balls for 101 yards.

"We've got people who know how to `ball' on this team," said Rudi Johnson, who scored in the first and third quarters from 9 and 6 yards. "That's a great thing to have. That's why I love playing in this offense, because everybody's going to have their turn and their chance to make plays."

The Bengals are 17-0, including 6-0 this season, when Rudi gets at least 25 carries.

He helped Cincinnati overcome a negative turnover ratio of 2-to-4. Carson Palmer threw three interceptions and Rudi lost a fumble for the first time this season, on his 279th carry.

The Raiders, losing a sixth game in a row, are 2-11 despite having the NFL's third-ranked defense and top-ranked pass defense. Oakland has the league's worst offense (245 yards a game).

The Bengals doubled the Raiders in first downs (28-14) and nearly doubled in total yardage (439-223). For only the third time in club history, the Bengals did not allow a rushing first down.

Linebacker Robert Jeanty led Cincinnati tacklers with seven solos and two assists. Tory James was in on six tackles. Brian Simmons had five, plus an interception.

Robert Geathers sacked Aaron Brooks twice; Kevin Kaesviharn and Dexter Jackson had one each. With a career-best 10 1/2 this season, Geathers is the first Bengal to register double-digit sacks since Alfred Williams in 1992. Quite a milestone.

"It is," Geathers said with a smile. "To say I'm not thinking about it, I'd be lying. But we won, and it's helped the defense this year."

And what of Oakland's feared sack attack? Nada.

Derrick Burgess, with 10 sacks, was limited by Anderson to three tackles.

Warren Sapp, up against Eric Steinbach and Bobbie Williams, did not register a defensive statistic - other than roughing the passer.

"Their offense is loaded," said Oakland cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, who intercepted two passes. "What are you going to do? Are you going to call `man' to stop the run?If you call `man', then they are going to start throwing all over the place. They've got Carson Palmer, Rudi Johnson and three wideouts. That right side of the offensive line just has some beasts."

Asomugha picked off Palmer at the Cincinnati 42 on the game's third play from scrimmage. Next play, Cincinnati's Johnathan Joseph forced a fumble by Alvis Whitted, and recovered at the 39.

"That was frustrating for me," Palmer said. "You come out and you want to get something going early and march down the field and get a touchdown, and the (second) pass you throw ends up getting picked off. ... Fortunately, we get the ball back and go down and score. That really set the tempo for the rest of the game."

Palmer marched the Bengals 61 yards in nine plays, scoring on an 8-yard pass to Chris Henry. Rudi Johnson's 9-yard score made it 14-0.

His team-leading 10th TD of the season, a 6-yarder with 5:31 left in the third quarter, made it 21-3. On that drive, Rudi topped the 1,000-yard mark for a third consecutive year, and Palmer surpassed 10,000 career passing yards.

Houshmandzadeh's 20-yard TD catch pushed him over the 100-yard mark for the third time this season and extended the lead to 27-3 through three quarters.

With his 21st career 100-yard game, Chad Johnson is the Bengals' all-time leader in his sixth season. He had been tied with Isaac Curtis, who had 20 100-yard games over 12 seasons.

Chad Johnson said the record was "cool" but was more jacked about the Raiders switching out of man-to-man coverage.

"Hue Jackson (Bengals receiver coach) . . . he swore up and down that they would play man-to-man the entire game because they played everybody that way - first down, second down, third down," he said. "Again, you get to the Bengals, a different type of animal as far as receivers. The looks change."

The Raiders, held to a Sebastian Janikowski field goal through three quarters, got a fourth-quarter touchdown on a 5-yard pass from Brooks to Ronald Curry. Curry caught eight passes for 99 yards.

But the Bengals took care of business despite a less-than-usual rooting level from a sellout crowd of 65,882 - possibly because of the type of letdown Lewis wanted his players to avoid.

"It was not the best football game of the season," the coach said. "But we did a lot of good things. We had to kind of create our own excitement and emotion a little bit today. . . . People don't realize, I guess, in the NFL you don't always win but there's some quality players that every team has. And if you don't play good football, you get beat. And we know that."

Well enough to not be fooled again.

  4. "we do not know anything fundamental about matter and physics, the very things in life we take for granted. Observations into deep space have proved this; according to scientists, the Universe is composed of nine tenths of a type of matter and energy they know nothing about, calling it “dark matter.” Atomically, the “superposition” particles of quantum mechanics collapse from a wavefunction descriptor into discrete phenomena, and we do not understand why...."

theories + concepts = more theories and concepts

more theories + more concepts = 3/10 (in about another 500 or 1000 years)

"the internal is the external....know thyself and you shall know the universe and the gods around you.."

    (psss..the holy grail:eek: )
