By personality, I mean the tendency of price actions. Does the stock move quickly, or does it build its momentum slowly? Does it tend to gap up or down and fade ...? My question is how should you decide whether a stock has changed its personality? Thanks!

  2. Significant changes in ownership is a red flag for personality change.

If a game of poker had a personality with the same group of players week after week, a new kid shows up with a big stake, what has happened to the psyche of the game? Ditto for a long time player who decides he wants out.

  3. A consistent gapper suddenly lose it's "fill" rate.

A stock that no longer reacts strongly around s/r levels.

Those are a couple I watch for as they are 2 strategies I work intra-day.

JASO has changed it's personailty since it split. It behaves differetly now that it is in the 20's.

    Hope that helps.

  4. I agree with you on splits. Do you think it is because of the price range or more shares?
