  1. ....PROF....
    ... i am using thinkorswim....
    ....I have TSI indicator and SMI indicator.... but not ergodic.
    ... I have tick charts but not volume charts.

    ... could you recommend a setting for SMI to use with 512 tick chart.....
    (....or do you have the ERGODIC code for tos ?)

    .... in order to try to set up a chart like your "HH/Prime LH.....LL/Prime LL " style chart ?

    .... i understand this chart.... until now I have tried to duplicate it using ZIG ZAG sign indicator .... to help identify the waves....

    ...thank you very much
    ...elo

    Ergodic is easy to code. According to William Blau:

    Ergodic Oscillator (EO) = TSI - EMA(TSI,5)

    The short-term parameter in TSI is also usually set to 5. So the only variable is the long-term parameter in TSI.

  3. Exactly. Now you must consider where the market is trading and why.

    What points are of importance. Where will the market be moving and how far.

  4. ... thank you ..... :)
    ... i got it programmed....
    .... right now i am using Klinger oscillator for my oscillator.... it seems to work pretty good....
    .... my ergo oscillator does not look so good....

  5. ... i am not sure if you were responding to me or not....
    .. if so thanks....

    .... right now i have us on the upper edge of a huge channel which we have been in for months....
    ... .if we can break out of that.... then i will begin to try to decipher the upside target....

    Prof, did anybody ever take you up on your offer of a trading challenge?

    Regarding the ergodic, I had a system in backtest that showed promise using that early last year, I got sidetracked and forgot about it... it's a triple ema as I recall...

  7. I'm not sure of the triple ema.

    No challenge. Waste of time. More fun to trade and share.

  8. SWING TRADES
    Week of December 15th, 2008

    These are the current Swing and Fast Swing Trades setting up in the following charts. Pull up the charts and read the oscillations for fine tuning your entry. These may not match your charts due to data idiosyncracies, data holes and data providers. Trade your own charts and what they each are telling you.

    These do not constitute buy or sell recommendations, these are simply the rants of a delusional individual that watches the absolute oscillations of price inside these non-variable chart increments for unbelievable consistency in their movements.

    Legend:
    PF = Price Failure
    HO = Histogram Oscillation
    O = Open
    NIP = Not in Prime (Extreme Level)
    ^ - Long
    v - Short

    Because we view set-ups from oscillations, sometimes these oscillations that start off as a set-up migrate to negate the potential trade. I will review these throughout the week.
