I thought I read somewhere that IAlwaysWin was successfully trading 5-minute binary options via Nadex, but I guess that was just my imagination. I checked because today is the first day I ever came up with a system for successfully trading (i.e., no losing trades) 5-minute binary options on a consistent basis (see main chart below) and I thought IAlwaysWin had a way of using volume that increased his odds, but I see now that this was related to a different time frame. I was not using volume for the trading I did this morning (lower panel) but it looks to me like taking advantage of reversals following spikes in volume could possibly enhance the strategy I was using. I stopped using volume years ago because I did not find it as significant when trading currency pairs as I did when I was trading stocks; but with equities, I used it to gauge the interest of buyers vs. sellers, whereas here, it's just the opposite—instead of going long when buying volume increases, I want to go short because it doesn't last, and vice versa when selling volume is abnormally high. It's during these periods that I want to be looking to go long, because the increase in volume is not sustainable.
