I just gave it to you: I said it. But if you want proof, that conversation, like the one John R. Lott Jr. had with Obama, was not recorded.
According to two of your fellow liberals recently. You should be smart enough to figure it out on your own.
If you claim something is true (and the exact opposite of everyone else's perspective) then you at least need to dig up ONE media source showing your assertion has any validation. Can't do it... I thought so. Obama is not pro-gun.
Tell it to Lott. Anyway, Obama is not pro-gun, but neither is he anti-gun. He is pro-gun control. As are most of us.
============== I agree, partly,Dr Cha; popcorn, let the show begin NO ,,owning guns is NOT outdated, but a word to the wise.If you are ever in Waco TX+ your home is surrounded by ATF, FBI, TX Troopers[Guard], you may simply want to surrender. You may especially want to surrender if your leader says he gets 140 wives, + by the way, what happened to the grenade casing that were ordered, via UPS... + illegal machine gun parts???? PS. More words to the wise; do not fire on TX troopers[Guard ] helicopters, even the best law officers frown on that sort of thing Sources include wikipedia/discretion.... Also, think again, before you include ''us'' in same paragraph as people who fire on helicopters, in Waco TX
I've been thinking about that too, but am not convinced that it is true. Do you think even 300 million of us with our little handheld weapons are a match for the US military? No, they can dispense with us all. Maybe the poster above has the best idea: the ballot box.
300,000,000 armed people in a revolt would DECIMATE this tyrannical government! Where were you when Egypt went into revolt? The government wiped out the first few waves of people, then the government's will broke, and the rest is now history. 300M armed citizens revolting against this broken, COMPLETELY out of control government is a pipe dream, and won't happen imo. However, a simple 1% of that number could wreak so much havoc on this government that yes, the people would ultimately win after the government rolled over and gave up like it's done since the late 1950's.
Many of my friends are extreme liberals. They do not fear the government. Conversely, they believe the government is there to take care of them. To me, that seems a strange point of view given the history of the actions of our federal government, but people do cling these ideas. However incredulous, the belief that someone Up There is watching out for your interests is seductive and comforting to many people. This mindset is something the pro-gun lobby will need to consider. This argument is not just about guns/no guns. It concerns core perceptions of the world that do not change easily, because people believe what they want to believe. How would you change that? Let's continue this thought-provoking conversation.
