^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Didn't Abbott say this all was fixed... Abbott Says Power Grid Fixed; Experts Cite Problems June 8, 2021 https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/g...lated-to-ercot-february-winter-storm/2652011/ Despite experts who say Texas’ power grid remains vulnerable, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott declared Tuesday that new reforms “fix all of the flaws” that caused February’s deadly winter blackout that left more than 4 million people without power in subfreezing weather. He was joined by Republicans who defended it as a good deal for consumers, even though they gave no direct financial relief to families who were stuck with high energy bills or lost income as the lights and heat stayed off for days. Signing into law two sweeping overhauls in response to one of the largest power outages in U.S. history, Abbott asserted that he and the GOP-controlled Texas Legislature had delivered following one of the worst crises in his six years as governor. But even members of his own party say there is work still to be done. (More at above url)
Texas is great place to live unless you want to wash your clothes or cook food then not so much... https://www.texastribune.org/2021/06/14/texas-power-grid-conserve-ercot/ Texas is turning into a perfect storm of failure and denial. Their electrical grid is crumbling from lack of government oversight and deregulation while their energy demand are increasing from higher temperatures as a result of climate change. They need a major overhaul of their grid ASAP while their political leaders are blocking an infrastructure plan that would help them. It won’t be long until we have to set up a permanent FEMA operation in Texas.
Yet, your ilk treat California as the shithole of choice even though- let's just say- electrical generation is not its strong point.
Cali has some work to do but Texas is degenerating right before our eyes. They are not ready for the summer. As you like to say, more to come.
Has Ted Cruz left on vacation yet? 'Unplanned' outages hit Texas power plants in soaring temperatures One official said he was "deeply concerned" about the number of offline plants. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...wer-plants-amid-soaring-temperatures-n1270827

Maybe the democrats should do something about how vulnerable our entire grid is. But.... I am sure they would rather find set up power exchanges and charge working people more...
