Pete Hegseth’s Secret History A whistle-blower report and other documents suggest that Trump’s nominee to run the Pentagon was forced out of previous leadership positions for financial mismanagement, sexist behavior, and being repeatedly intoxicated on the job. https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/pete-hegseths-secret-history I mean, who hasn't been repeatedly falling-down drunk while on the job? It's not like Trump picked him for anything important, right? And, of course, there's that sexual assault thingy following him around... Police report reveals assault allegations against Hegseth, Trump’s pick for defense secretary https://apnews.com/article/hegseth-...report-trump-e6ebec0a1a5c7fb51cb5e2198f5e12a5 You might want to hold off on that WHM thing. You've been holding your breath too long.
Having a few cocktails and a sharmoota on the side was a prerequisite for a political career in the 60's. We survived, even thrived under their leadership for decades. If this is all they got, the business as usual sexual misconduct from ages past...yawn. I kinda gave up the wm Hoff breath work, but still run the cold water over my head and body which has probably stimulated my brain beyond that of mere mortals here at ET.
The extreme liberal progressives hate all President Donald Trump appointees because they will actually, do the jobs and clean up the riff raff in various departments which means them and their cohorts. I am 100,000% for it!
It is pretty simple, when a guy's mother calls him out for being a danger to women, similar to Trump's mother decrying the son she raised, he is. Its takes a lot to get a mother to admit shame for raising them poorly.
Hearsay from strangers, coworkers, or anonymous people is one thing. In contrast, negative statements by family members when someone is trying to obtain a key position in government are something both political parties should be concerned about going into a confirmation process or election. The other concern is our ethics. Are we people who are willing to put the political party above our country? Yet, I'm a strong believer that some people are just sinister even after being raised properly, good education, stable family structure et cetera. They are the sociopaths and psychopaths because what they do has no explanation. Thus, there's a reason why people like Charles Manson, Jim Jones, and Hitler had a growing congregation of supporters...it grows after each sociopath or psychopath behavior incident. Some would argue that's why a "court of opinions" (e.g. confirmation process) puts these people under the spotlight to determine if the person is suitable to be appointed or elected. Recently, I learned that there are people in prison who were able to get their name on a ballot in the state they're imprisoned even if they were convicted of multiple murders or serial killers...they were able to run for political office. The only reason those people were not appointed or elected while in prison...they were not rich enough to hire the best lawyers. Yet, others would argue they just did not get enough votes or not enough supporters. It had nothing to do with money. My last three visits (vacations) to the States...I would visit the Abraham Lincoln National Memorial Cemetery in Elwood Illinois because I have relatives (military veterans) who are buried at the cemetery. It's a place of peacefulness to me. The same when I visit Lincoln's Tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois. wrbtrader
He's term-limited so either way he's out of either (job) in 4Y. DefSec is a higher profile gig. It's said he doesn't like the Florida job and being Gov hasn't helped him, nationally.
I do agree that Matt Gaetz and Hagseth are throw-aways. Yet, Trump may have left them on their own to see if they could fight behind the scenes and gather enough Republican support to go into the confirmation process under closer scrutiny. Gaetz was doomed...too many Republicans had knives out that still have not forgotten what he did to McCarthy (ousting him from the leadership role). It was evident at the RNC when Gaetz and McCarthy came close to a shoving match...several Republicans with McCarthy stared at him as if they could pull out a concealed weapon to then gun Gaetz down. wrbtrader
