Pence Leave Game After Players Kneel During Anthem

  1. I see the issues as very different. The Redskins name issue was just the WashPost and some lefties trying to whip up controversy where there was none. It died when the Post ran a poll and discovered that 90% of actual Native Americans, as opposed to SJWs, didn't have a problem with the name.

The flag controversy is a bit different, as it involves a highly politicized group of wealthy blacks who imagine themselves role models virtue signaling to a captive audience. That would normally be a matter for the league and ownership to address, but they have failed miserably and allowed the National Anthem ceremony to be exploited in a way that most Americans find highly offensive. Particularly since the NFL has made a show of wrapping itself in the flag and supporting the military(of course they charged them for that privilege), it is appropriate for national leaders to criticize the lack of respect being shown the flag and Anthem.

  2. The players seem to be confusing their "right" to protest with an expectation that everyone else will just fall into line and back them. People have just as much right to object to the time and manner of their protests, and they also have a right to object to the substance. I would guess that support for the BLM agenda is pretty low among football fans.

This is only the latest in a series of embarrassing failures by Commissioner Goodell. He should have nipped this in the bud with Kaepernick. Now it has snowballed into a faceoff between resentful fans and entitled players who seem to lack the intelligence not to bite the hand that feeds them.

  5. Of course, Jones' statement would be more credible if he hadn't humiliated himself and Cowboy fans everywhere by kneeling with those BLM assholes.

Still, he is John Wayne compared to the other wimp owners.

This ignorant ESPN twit got suspended. Long overdue.

    Jemele Hill suspended from ESPN

Jemele Hill has been suspended from ESPN, the network said in a statement Monday.

The company said the anchor was suspended for two weeks after a second violation of its social media guidelines.

Hill took to Twitter on Sunday and Monday to say the NFL had placed an "unfair burden" on players amid reports that team owners would pull players off the field if they kneeled during the national anthem.

In a series of tweets, Hill said fans upset with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones should boycott his team's advertisers.
