It's a trap to have the Republicans offer a rebuttal to Obama over this speech. Showing any type of push back against the plan after he is done would be construed as more "obstructionism" and Queen Nancy is just pissed that they won't have a sound bite to use against Boehner or Cantor. It's a shrewd move on Boehner's part. Maybe Nancy Pelosi should give a rebuttal. Knowing how much she loves to stick it in your face she would probably enjoy giving a rebuttal to Ovomit's speech.
I would have found it hilarious if Republicans just pretended to put someone up for a rebuttal, but instead they used the time specifally to trash what a horrible president Obama is, and used it as free campaign time. Imagine the look on Pelosi's face if all the republicans did for their 15 minutes was rail away at what an abject failure Obama has been. Obama has already done it in a bunch of his speeches why cant republicans do the same?
