McConnell doesn’t call for a vote because he doesn’t have the votes, but Pelosi doesn’t call for a vote because she does????? Got it..
Okay well, as I have repeatedly said, let's get this thing going. There are a lot of "what if and maybe scenarios" but those have all been chewed over and there is only one way to find out. I will say again though, that contrary to what the conventional wisdom is, I dont think Mitch is necessarily chomping for a dismissal. Probably if anything, the dems need to fear that he will not let go of it once he gets it and will milk the bejesus out of it, not only to drag it out but also to prevent the dems from being able to argue that trump was only acquitted because the pubs would not let it go to trial. And, as discussed, he and the dems will use the trial to work over all the stuff coming out the horowitz/durham investigations, thus continuing to rob focus on the dem primary. These are repeat points that I am making, but they are in response to repetitive points that others keep making. You make the point that some of the old school conservatives might not be tolerant of some things that Trump has done. That may be, but that can play out differently too. Some of them are so old school that they believe that there is going to be an election in 2020 and that is the proper way to toss him out. That's a a long way away in some ways, but if this impeachment thing does not get going for a while and mitch drags it out into next year- and he certainly has the ability to that- then once you get into next year that argument seems more palatable to some of the traditionalists who object to some moves that trump has made but nevertheless believe that the decision to impeach him was made before he was elected. Let's get going. If you can remove him, then that is a victory for your ilk. Of course if you can't - well then ...... Another that goes unmentioned but is obvious, is that Trump will probably be impeached again after this round, and if he is re-elected they will come again and again. That is why if Mitch is smart he will make this as long and as painful to the dems as possible- letting them know that they can try their luck again but will have to pay the price of seeing all the focus move away from whatever non-impeachment agendas they may have. Dems will want to add new charges once/if an impeachment is opened. Mitch should use that to just keep throwing more time at it. Let's just say that the original plan to have it over by the end of October is not looking good right now or ever.
The swamp spy faux whistleblower is going to be hunted down and outed and he/she/they is going to be held to account.
Yet, the Democrats still have not voted on it. The so called whistleblower is no longer testifying probably, because he would end up being cross-examined in a full impeachment trial. Accusations are just that and I have sat on multiple jury panels and unless, you have evidence, that dog won't hunt! Democrats have nothing or they would have brought it out already. If Mueller cannot find anything in his bogus witch hunt using the bogus dossier provided by the Clinton campaign and Mueller had hundreds of investigators, prosecutors, FBI agents at his disposal, what would Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff have?
It's hard to figure. We know that Trump, Moscow Mitch, and Tulsi are all working for the russians so that complicates things considerably. Thank god you dems have Hillary to explain all this to you.
