Pelosi Impeachment Inquiry

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Big AAPL, Sep 24, 2019.

  1. How is it possibly legal for a government employee, ie the "Whistleblower", to be paid hundreds of thousands of dollars through gofundme for something related to his job? Isn't that called bribery?

  2. Good question.

"President Trump asked the Ukraine president for the DNC server there. It's the same server that James Comey and the Justice Department have been looking for as part of the Russia investigation. If it was so important then, why is it so bad that Trump is requesting it now"?

  4. It seems like Trump is isolated now. I also wonder if Barr is mainly about protecting the swamp rather than actually shining light on them. There needs to be a citizen’s commission made up of people selected through the same process that a jury would be selected in order to investigate and prosecute politicians. This citizen’s commission should have the full authority to remove a convicted politician from office based on a preponderance of evidence. If the the evidence is particularly compelling, their findings could be referred for criminal prosecution.

Our Government, including the justice system, media, and certain executives have acted beyond the law and certainly against the interests of the American people. Our system is broken and reforms are critical for a properly functioning government. It is a now a conflict of interest to have politicians such as those in Congress decide who to prosecute or not. Politicians should not have the ability to initiate sham investigations, propose weak charges, or perform trials at this point. What ever happened to the idea of a grand jury? A grand jury made up of a group of citizens from diverse backgrounds, that is?

There also needs to be age and financial limits placed on politicians. Look at the prominent entrenched or running politicians: Trump, Pelosi, Schumer, O’Connell, Biden, Sanders, and Clinton. They are all old as fook and rich as fook. Most of them are career politicians. Most are a product of the system. They are the swamp.

Net worth under $1,000,000, age under 50, and a term limit of one or two terms for all politicians and perhaps even judges will likely go a long way to create a Government that is responsive to the people.

I wonder how many ETers would be willing to sign a petition calling for a citizen’s commission as outlined above.

Democrats subpoena Giuliani as Trump lashes out

The House Intelligence Committee on Monday issued a subpoena to Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, as part of House Democrats’ rapidly intensifying impeachment inquiry.

The committees demanded details about Giuliani’s interactions with Trump administration officials stemming from his influence campaign in the eastern European nation and his alleged role as an intermediary between the American and Ukrainian governments.

“Our inquiry includes an investigation of credible allegations that you acted as an agent of the president in a scheme to advance his personal political interests by abusing the power of the Office of the President,” Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff wrote to Giuliani. Monday’s letter was co-signed by Reps. Eliot Engel and Elijah Cummings, who chair the Foreign Affairs and Oversight committees, respectively.

  8. Too bad the Democrats don’t have a single sound economic policy idea. They know how to do the false accusation, the sham investigation, and the false flag. Following rules is not a forte of the Radical Left, but accusing others of violating a rule is, even if they can’t tell which rule it is their political opponent is violating. Case study: Ukraine and Joe Biden. What is it about Russia and former Russian territories and Democratic misconduct such as campaign finance violations, influence peddling, and election interference? The history of Communist influence on the Democratic Party can be seen through labor union efforts and the infiltration of key universities in US centers of population such as Chicago, New York, and California. Journalist classes have been targeted for years and now we are seeing the “fruits” of long term Communist efforts.

Although the Right is headed towards extinction because they are not focused or smart, it would be nice if they could find a way to run interference for those hard working Americans who appreciate our country’s heritage. The Leftist media typically depicts Putin as not wearing a shirt and is rarely critical of him. You posted a Putin Biographical video with the comment of “Good shit”. The media tends towards handling Bernie Sanders with kid’s gloves.

Instead of a civil war, it would be more efficient to for the people who want a responsive government to get involved in a more direct way and remove those from power and influence who are destroying our system and culture.

If Hillary enters the mix, expect her to hijack Bernie and Warren's "free college for all" and "student loan forgiveness." It doesn't matter that it'll never happen, she knows that already. Its just this time around she's not gonna have those people stay home, so whatever it takes... she'll say.
    That's my prediction anyway.
