Pelosi Impeachment Inquiry

Discussion in 'Politics' started by Big AAPL, Sep 24, 2019.

  1. Right, there seems to be an assumption that even if a law is alleged to have been broken that it immediately converts into an impeachable offense.

Not surprisingly, that did not apply to Obama. Obama was cited by an Inspector General for violating the War Powers Act by going into Libya unauthorized, and he was cited by an Inspector General of the Department of Defense for the Taliban Dream Team swap where there is a congressionally enacted mandate that congress consulted etc, etc.

And for the last couple weeks we have been treated to scary "I gotcha" talk because the GAO raised concerns or objected to the alleged withholding of aid to the Ukraine. Yes, it is important but on the other hand, so what? Just another day in the beltway. Again, the point being that every "I gotcha' does not immediately prove an impeachable offense. Pardon me for stating the obvious but all this bit about the GAO being upset requires a re-statement.

    Meanwhile.

The last guy to "gotcha" his opponent was .......... Nixon.

    Coincidence?

When did Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, Carter, Ford use the power of the office to go get dirt on his election opponent? Repeat the power of the office.

    Crickets, crickets.

And for those who don't know me - I am a Conservative. So save the tired libtard comments.

If Romney is ever the GOP nominee again I will vote for the Democrat regardless of who it is.

Fortunately, there is a zero chance that he will ever be the nominee again. He has shown his hand and it's not a good one.
