Crimes and are not covered by executive privilege. When George Washington denied congress papers related to the Jay Treaty in the first use of executive privilege he stated that executive privilege covers all matters with the exception of impeachment.
And why wouldn't they? They really shouldn't even be bothered with something that was a sham from the beginning and contains no credible evidence. The proper thing to do here is a quick dismissal.
Sounds like an impartial jury to me then..... just start the trial with an acquittal vote... Dems are presenting evidence in the trial, Senate should review it carefully and then vote based on the evidence. Clinton was investigated for years on all types of fraud and the only thing they could do was drag up a blow job in the Oval Office (which was not illegal by the way) and impeach him on it. there was a whole long trial and the Senate voted... that is all we could ask for, not go in with no balls and say "I don't care what is presented lets vote acquittal fast"
The Democrats ran a secret sham investigation in the basement of The Capitol. The minority were allowed no rights in the procedure. The entire shampeachment is illegitimate and The Senate should show The House what they think of it and just dismiss it postehaste.
