Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land

  1. Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land

Does the news coverage reflect the reality on the ground?

Through the voices of scholars, media critics, peace activists, religious figures, and Middle East experts, Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land carefully analyzes and explains how--through the use of language, framing and context--the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza remains hidden in the news media, and Israeli colonization of the occupied terrorities appears to be a defensive move rather than an offensive one.

The documentary explores the ways that U.S. journalists, for reasons ranging from intimidation to a lack of thorough investigation, have become complicit in carrying out Israel's PR campaign. At its core, the documentary raises questions about the ethics and role of journalism, and the relationship between media and politics

  2. good stuff - thanks Wael - am emailing it around part by part and over a few weeks time
  3. Thanks 2cents.

The zionists have deceived the world into thinking that zionism represent Jews. Far from the truth! the jewish religion has been hijacked by these fascist who committed similar crimes against the Jewish religion as they did to others.
  4. Hey wael, dont you have a summarised version? No way im gonna trawl through that.

"Religious figures, middle east experts", yeah, any scientists in there?

Anyone with a tiny iota of objectivity?
  5. I wish I do Acronym but the first video file just about sums it up.

How would you define scientists? Noam Chumskey is a well known reference and as far as I am concerned, an ex Israeli soldier, rabbis as well as other Jews are well adversed in that subject.
  6. Starring in the video:

Noam Chomsky - an American linguist, philosopher, political activist - he stated that "My personal visions are fairly traditional anarchist ones..."

Robert William Jensen - a professor of journalism - According to Jensen, the United States was "just as guilty" as the hijackers in committing acts of violence. Jensen wrote that the Al Qaeda attack on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon "was no more despicable than the massive acts of terrorism...that the U.S. government has committed during my lifetime."

Hanan Ashrawi - a Palestinian scholar and political activist

Robert Fisk - a virulently anti-Israel, anti-Western, pro-Islamic British journalist who once said "There is a misconception that journalists can be objective". Osama bin Laden said Fisk's reporting was "neutral".[10] ...Adam Gadahn, said that Fisk and George Galloway have a "respect and admiration for Islam," have "sympathy for Muslims their causes"...Fisk's reporting and commentary style has made him the object of much criticism, some bloggers[18][19][20] have coined the blogosphere term fisking ("a point-by-point refutation of a blog entry or a news story").,_Propaganda_&_the_Promised_Land

They are no scientists wael, they are a bunch of fringe loonies and islamic propagandists. What a joke.
  7. yeah sure, those are guys (and ladies) who, like Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer notably, are not afraid of raining on AIPAC's parade, not afraid of Mossad...

so, acro mate, since you raised this as an issue, could you kindly elaborate on which scientists to your knowledge are speaking up "objectively" in favour of israel's propaganda war so we know what we're up against many thanks... cause if there aren't, i'm sure your gonna ask AIPAC, CNN etc why not, right??
  8. No.

Your coverage does not reflect reality on the ground either.

You know not what you do while reality is on ignore.

    The blame game is unwinnable.
