    Hi all,

I'm a happy European piker with a tiny IB account (way below 25K USD).

I'd like to know if the PDT rule applies to US SSF's. According to http://www.interactivebrokers.ca/en/trading/marginRequirements/patternDayTraders.php it does, but I find conflicting information in other places.

What about foreign stocks? Would the PDT rule apply to me as a European IB customer trading European stocks. (I have activated US stock trading rights as well). The documentation on the IB site is not very clear on this.

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. I don't think it does. About 70% sure. (regarding SSF)

Don't know what the deal is with Euro Stocks. Probably Ib won't let you PDT them either. Stick with Euro Stoxx 50 or something liquid.

I don't think it applies to SSF's. If your trading the stocks in question on their respective foreign exchange I wouldn't think PDT would apply there either.
