PC remote control via android phone

  1. Hi,

I've seen on youtube an application that allows you to take the remote control of your home PC from your android phone.
You can see your home PC screen on your phone and you can use the home pc applications from your phone, as if you were in front of your PC.

Is it possible to let Ninja trader running on your home PC, go outside, and then trade via remote control with your android smartphone as if you were in front of your screen, be able to use Ninja trader and do whatever you want with NT from your android?

  2. Yes.

I use this one for Android but there are many. I like the full mouse control on this software. This also works nicely with an Ipad.

( whatever you want can be tedious due to small mobile screen. you do have full control over desktop )

  3. Hi, thanks for posting the vid. I guess the answer to my question is yes, it's possible to use Ninja Trader as you wish via remote control with your android.

What is the minimum requirements for an android to take remote control of a home PC with Windows 7.

Is an Android version 2.2 enough to remote a PC with windows 7? I am thinking about the HTC Desire HD because it has a big screen and the price has dropped since it has the previous android 2.2 version.

Of course the Samsung Galaxy SII with android 2.3 would be nice to have but more expensive.

If I can remote control from a 2.2 android, then I'll go for the cheapest phone with a large screen.

Thanks in advance for your help

  4. Great information, I will buy a 2.2 android handset, thank you so much.

  7. Has anyone used Ninja Trader remote from a phone, how was the feel?
Is the large phone screen large enough to see what you need?

    Hi,

I was also looking for a good mobile solution, see here:

I have looked at a lot of stuff now, tried several platforms and remote systems with iphone and ipad ... never really liked it, for me this is only an emergency solution.

What I can recommend, especially if you want to run Ninjatrader, is a good netbook. I purchased the Samsung NF310 N550, especially because of its display: it is a small 10,1" netbook but it has the higher WXGA resolution (1366x769). With this resolution you can run the standard applications like Ninjatrader or IB's TWS without any problems. I have upgraded mine to 2 GB RAM, but even with the standard 1 GB I had no performance problems and could run all trading applications that I need.
