    obamacare would be gone.
therefore the economy would be expanding quickly.

  2. LOL you're confused about the power the president has and doesn't have. Romney couldn't just cancel RomneyCare uhh I mean Obamacare.

  3. Gotta agree with BigArrow. You're completely delusional if you think that Romney would have come into the Office and started tearing things up.

Republicans are Democrats and vice-versa. Their talking points are different, but when it comes to the "big decisions" they are a one party system...whatever supports the status quo.

this thing is gonna get ripped up... or massively changed.
Romney would have needed congress... but you can be damned sure... he would not have let thing destroy GDP the way it is now.

  5. The presidents effect on the economy is limited guys. He gets too much credit when things are good, although I don't see anyone giving him credit for the booming stock market and soaring corporate profits or the economy pulling out of the severe recession. But any other president would be hailed as an economic hero in spite of the low employement numbers and the president takes too much blame when the economy is bad although this president is blamed for everything bad.

I can see pspr when he has an off night in bed with his wife, thinking to himself curse you Obama.

The fed and free recently printed money get the credit for that.

  7. I didn't say he deserved credit, but you'd be giving Romney credit if he was president. The point was the president’s effect is limited and the president, any president, gets too much credit and blame for the economy. The exception is Bush; I believe he does deserve some of the blame he gets.

I disagree with the Obama care being here still, as Romney had said he would begin the action to repeal it on day one.

I also think he'd have been a bit more conservative on the issues of the budget, including actually passing one. But no, he wasn't going to be the panacea of the conservative movement.

  9. Unemployment is at all time-high for the "a so-called recovery", four years later. How do you account for the Clinton years, after do-nothing HW Bush? Obama is another do-nothing, in the company of HW, Carter, etc.

    NO, I wouldn't.

You frequently presume everyone is as partisan as you are.
