Aren't you guys worried about Miami and Palm Beach sinking in the future as the sea level rises?

Of course. Not when Trumpie is elected he'll build a wall and it will be huuuuuge.

By the time Palm Beach sinks the people making money there now would've gotten rich enough to leave, I doubt they're concerned about that.

More like they and their children and their children's children will be dead and buried ... before the tide comes in.

I live right down here - and there is isolated flooding - just like always. There are coastal homes that should of never been given permission to be built. Too bad for those folks.

Do you have any sources you could point me to that indicates that Palm Beach would be safe from flooding/sinking in the next 100 years?

I ask sincerely because I am heard/read conflicting positions.

    Yes the previous 100 years.

Whether or not global warming is really happening, (yes I know every single climate scientist whoever lived or will live in the future believes it is, if you listen to Al Gore), every projection about the future is just that ... a projection.

Back 10 or more years ago predictions were Florida better get used to more hurricanes and with greater intensity due to Climate Change. Opps I wrote global warming above. The old scare term. Then when the hurricanes didn't materialize "they" said Climate Change is shearing the tops off the tropic depressions so they don't have a chance to turn into hurricanes. Poor things.

So it is Climate Change is causing this ... unless it causes that.

Someday they might really know will happen. In the meantime surf's up. And PTJ is here to save taxes, couldn't care less about coastal erosion making token charitable givings gaining what do you know yet another tax write-off.

I doubt it, simple reason Tudor Jones moved was that Connecticut and Greenwich in particular charge outrageous property taxes. Not much more behind this story...

you forgot to mention that Miami is a hotbed for illicit money, funds, and money laundering. A lot of Chinese money entering the US is making its way through Miami. Florida announced, and Miami specifically, that Chinese can soon buy their American citizenship by "investing" in rundown areas and businesses. Even when completely writing off the "investment" you still end up with a squeaky clean American citizenship a while after you purchased your special green card. Goes against all American values and what America stands for but hey, its Miami, everything goes.

  9. climates have been changing for millions of years...somehow liberals have convinced the masses that not only is climate change caused by people but also that it can be prevented!

Water level will rise enough in the next hundred years or so for people to have some serious problems. Our generation won't see it, our children's generation will likely see the beginnings of it, but after that, who knows?
