Yep. One of our ET'ers is going their to join a new hedge fund. There might be room for me if I finish my degree in 2 years.

It makes sense. Most of the people from NY/NJ end up in Florida. Why not the business as well? The top performing (widely known) option selling HF is there already.

I may have to retract the "Miami is the next Singapore" slam from a few months back. Still it was a lousy analogy. Maybe Miami is the next Wall Street is better as absurd as it sounds.

excuse my ignorance but can the attraction of Miami be attributed to:

    preferable climate
removal of need to be located near NY/Chicago trading floors
proximity to Carribean for 2nd homes/vacation
    lower commercial office rents

I would be interested to know.

    GT.

But I thought PTJ was lecturing us on wealth distribution? So you're telling me he moved to Florida to avoid taxes after that lecture?

Empty words followed by actions that do not back up what he said.

  9. Spent the weekend on South Beach--- it's heaven for a single guy-- if you like dark and sultry ( and barely dressed)!
