Fantastic for you. Many people have not. Particularly the class of people growing by the largest - the poor.
Actually, no. What is complete and utter bullshit is that you believe that some inordinately rich guys, whose ambition it is to give much of their money away, still need to shit where they eat; that they cannot possibly be candid. You further cannot seem to comprehend that they can also take the other side of a trade if it suits them, so why would they need to rely on a singular theme in order to make money? Do you even read your own posts? Meanwhile, you probably glorify the Koch brothers, who are anonymously lurking behind all manner of "foundations" and stink tanks devoted to political ideology exclusively for personal gain. Where's that cynicism when you really need it?
None of the posters on the left here have ever shown themselves (at least on this forum) to have any real understanding of anything related to economics.
The irony is that you agree with much of what the "zerohedgers" stand for...except when you paint yourself into an ideological corner with your good friend BrASS. Just last week you were arguing against the repeal of Glass Steagall...perhaps not realizing that it was this seminal event that led to all of the "asset inflation" that you continually herald as somehow beneficial.
Fortunately, Krugman is not alone, only the most visible. Many neo-Keynesians are being listened to now, with the world's growing recognition of the failure of austerity. My biggest gripe with Krugman is that he is so relentless with his data and his "see, told you so" that he leaves leaders no room to change their minds without losing face.
Didnt you read the article? the Reason the author tore him to shreds is because Krugman is always ignoring the Data, and he just resorts to ad hominen attacks on people, this whole premise of "European Austerity" meaning big cuts in spending is a bald faced lie on the part of the left, all they did in Europe in most cases is simply slow down the projected growth of spending, combined with big tax increases, and Krugman makes it out to be like there are these monster Draconian cuts going on all over Europe.
