EurUsd at important daily chart trendline resistance. Ditto for DXY but with one difference. DXY @ 83.57 has busted its TL to the downside. Fib support is just a tad lower @ 83.16.

So, we know that EurUsd is in an upwave that corrects the decline from Nov 2009. If euro can take out the trendline, she should go to at least Fib 38.2% = 1.3125.

    Still no position in euro.

c'mon dude, -50 for bangkok, you gotta give a few more points for the countless restaurants representing every continent. beyond that, a veritable smorgasbord to satisfy even the most jaded connoisseur's palate from the palette of feminine diversity.
sure, it's loud, chaotic and breathing one day on the street is equivalent to 2 packs of marlboro reds with the filters torn off BUT you can still find all varieties of pleasant trouble at 4 a.m. on at least 3 dozen corners just in case you can't sleep:D

PATTAYA, THAILAND — Somewhere in the world there may be a city with a more seedy reputation, a place more devoted to the sex industry and more notorious as a haven for criminals on the lam. But probably not.

SLIDE SHOW: Thailand's Sin City Reaches for Respectability

When dusk comes to this beach resort, a sea of pink neon bulbs casts a pale glow onto the thickly made-up faces of thousands of women (and some men) who sit on bar stools waiting for their patrons.

If Las Vegas is Sin City, Pattaya is a bear hug from Lucifer himself.

And yet, amid the back alleys jammed with girlie bars and a beachfront peopled with what the Thais euphemistically call “service women,” there are signs of change.

Indian couples, Chinese tour groups and vacationing Russian families stroll around the city. A dozen luxury hotels cater to the weekend crowd of wealthy Thais from Bangkok who mingle with tourists at a huge shopping mall. Pattaya has a growing number of fancy restaurants, an annual music festival and, perhaps most improbably, regular polo tournaments. ..........

Olga Bidenko, 28, a tourist from Ukraine who came to Pattaya with a colleague from the marketing company she works for, said she was entertained by Walking Street, a thoroughfare stretching a kilometer and a half, or about a mile, blocked to motor traffic and packed with bars. Typical of the bars is Sexy Airline, where women dressed in old-fashioned air hostess outfits call out to prospective patrons passing by.

“We thought Amsterdam was the sex capital of the world,” said Ms. Bidenko, 28. “But now that I’ve been here, I think Amsterdam is a perfectly respectable city.”

  5. Yeah, Pattaya would make Lucifer proud. :) :D :D

Wait till you're walking or strolling down a street and suddenly someone comes up and whispers in your ear, "frequent flyer welcome"

    :)

  7. sorry colonel, I missed this post entirely ...

of course you're abs. correct, Bangkok deserves a better score. :)

impressed that it came out 2nd ahead of chiangmai (4th) for Asia.

jeez I never would have imagined anyone scoring Bangkok better than Chiangmai ... :)

maybe its time to have both, a condo in Bangkok? You've got me considering it anyway?

remember those sukh, soi 11 veg indian restaurants I posted a while back? Chiangmai doesn't have anythng like that yet. And Ronnie's pizza? Hard to beat.

Sukh, the last time I was there was in a bullmarket in pie. :D :D :D

  10. Udon not really recommended by your truly. In fact skip all of Isaan aka Northeastern Thailand for LIVING or SETTLING DOWN.

Nice to drive thru' on a vacation lasting a couple weeks. Recommended places to visit ....

Udon, Sakhon Nakhon, Nong Khai, Loei, Nakhon Ratchasima.

The drive round the eastern section starting in the mid south Kalasin and going northeast and then north and ending up in Nong Khai with the Mekong on your right - awesome.

stay at the Grand Hotel in Nong Khai (if it still exists)
