Tell him, where I live is also a sparsely populated village, no karaoke bars, no noise, just wide open spaces. Action is 23 klicks away; that's how I like it. Show him the following 2 poems that will describe the plight converted to happiness for so many of us .....
"Even my best friends, they don't know That my job is turning Lead into Gold" ------------- Out on the highways and the by-ways all alone I'm still searching for, searching for my home Up in the morning, up in the morning out on the road And my head is aching and my hands are cold And I'm looking for the silver lining, silver lining in the clouds And I'm searching for and I'm searching for the philosophers stone Even my best friends, even my best friends they don't know That my job is turning lead into gold When you hear that engine, when you hear that engine drone I'm on the road again and I'm searching for the philosophers stone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LorvvPcJ6m0
By the mansion on the hillside Red sports car comes driving down the road And pulls up into the driveway And a story does unfold And they shut him out of paradise Called him Lucifer and frowned She took pride in what God made him Even before the angels shot him down to the ground He's a light out of the darkness And he wears a starry crown If you see him, nothing will shake him 'Cos high summer has got him low down Checked in to the tiny village by the lakeside Settled down to start a new Far away from the politicians And the many chosen few Far away from the jealousy factor And everything that was tearing him apart Far away from the organ grinder And everyone that played their part http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFUt...305EF5C9&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=63 (if video is troublesome, just move the slider a notch or two)
Brazil versus Portugal ...... rivalry? you ain't kiddin. "Port Wine versus Copacabana Beach" Cristiano came out on top - agree completely with the "Budweiser Man of the match award" Lucio, Brazil's captain looked sloppy in many instances. Dunga (Brazil's coach) is in a fckin daze; if he don't wake up, Brazil could get knocked out next round. In fact at one point in the game I really felt Portuagal would steal the game. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) was awesome throughout the game http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/round=249722/match=300111111/quotes.html http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/highlights/video/video=1258590/index.html
Portugal: Portugal versus Korea .... 7-0 great for goal lovers, but it really was no contest, so I didn't take the result too seriously. But after Portugal put on such a great show against Brazil, they are now in my "choice" category ..... Argentina, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, England, Japan (could surprise) Can't rule out England. they've had badluck for decades - could reverse anytime and if so, could be the winner. Just don't know. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/highlights/video/video=1253544/index.html
Japan: What a beauteeeeeful team. Stunner of a goal against Denmark. I wouldn't mind for this team to take the trophy - they work hard, great team spirit and passing. Still a young team. Can't rule them out either way. Japan is IN! (fellow workout buddy from Japan has a unique style - in his gym bag he brings each day about 6 different exotic wines that he has me sip each time after workout to get my opinion on the best. They are not available in Thailand. (tell me where he gets them from? Not a chance. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/highlights/video/video=1257797/index.html
England versus Germany: yeah baby, this is the big one. Rivalry might lift england out of her funk, who knows ... Gary Linnekar said it best, exactly as I've always opined, "In The End Germany Always Win" http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2890...cup-2010-special-best-germany-england-clashes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb3iPP-tHdA We skipped a light fandango, Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor. I was feeling kind of seasick, But the crowd called out for more. The room was humming harder, As the ceiling flew away. When we called out for another drink, The waiter brought a tray. Uploaded with ImageShack.us And so it was that later, As the miller told his tale, That her face at first just ghostly, Turned a whiter shade of pale. She said there is no reason, And the truth is plain to see That I wandered through my playing cards, And would not let her be One of sixteen vestal virgins Who were leaving for the coast. And although my eyes were open, They might just as well have been closed.
