  2. World Cup Soccer hi-lites ...

Lots of complaints about the the "din of horns" created by fans causing players to not be able to hear the ref's whistle, bla, bla.
HORNS are a beauty in music and DIN and anyways its cultural; leeeeve 'em be.

The World Cup is almost always full of surprises - not wise to bet on a winner too soon. At my gym, thais were crying in droves as they lost money on their bet against USA in the game against England.

Emerging strong teams thus far IMO are, Germany and Holland. I doubt the US could beat either of these 2. Germany's game against Denmark was beautiful with 4 goals scored - the joymans did almost nothing wrong, pure precision clockwork just like their Porsches (my personal fav auto, always has been, always will be)

I'm not impressed by Italy's performance thus far, so this team is on the backburner for now, IMO.

Coming up today I get to watch my 2 favs, Brazil and Ivory Coast.

Ivory coast is a poor, poor country of huge strife and struggle. Top-notch player Didier Drogba has done alot for 'em in trying to lift their spirits and put a smile on their faces and take their attention off war and mayhem. Soldiers of both sides lay down their weapons and drank beer together as they watched a game between Ivory and Madagascar.

But a lone striker can carry an entire team?

  10. USA is down 2 goals against slovenia in ongoing first half. Surprised to see goalkeeper Tim Howard so flatfooted. Slovenia looks strong.

Argentina vs S. Korea was a fabulous game (4-1) - Argentina is now definitely a contender as they've woken up after a lousy, dopey first game.

Germany lost today to Serbia (0-1). Striker, Miroslav Klose was redcarded. Without him Deutschland is mediocre.

Spain, a major favorite, lost. Another shocker was France losing.

One surprise after another - that's the world cup. Better to just enjoy than waste money on betting. :) :D
