Robert Kraft donated $1 million to Trump’s inaugural celebrations

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft donated $1 million to help pay for President Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to
records released by the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday.

Trump raised a record-breaking $107 million for his inaugural celebrations, garnering seven-figure donations from corporations, billionaires, and NFL owners including Kraft. The donation from Kraft Group was received in early December, according to the inauguration committee disclosure.

Political contributions aren’t new for the owner of the five-time Super Bowl champions — Kraft donated the most money of all NFL team owners to President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012.

The Patriots owner has also been very vocal in his support of his fellow billionaire and “very close friend” Trump. Kraft was spotted in the week after the election paying a congratulatory visit to Trump Tower. Since the inauguration, Kraft has since dined at Mar-a-Lagowith President Trump and the Japanese prime minister and taken a ride on Air Force One with the commander-in-chief

  4. $107 million for a fooking celebration? That is a lot of money, even by lobbyist standards. Perish the thought of some this money accidentally falling into the wrong hands. Say the working poor, for example.

Many of the "Johns" in parlor string wrongly identified - case after case after case.

It appears the entire parlor sting is starting to fall apart and the Vero Beach police and Martin County Sheriff departments are quite properly being sued.

A Jensen Beach man, mistakenly arrested in the ongoing human trafficking ring in our area, now plans to file a lawsuit against the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Sandipkumar Patel shared his story Tuesday morning, sitting next to his wife and attorney, David Golden, in Stuart.

“On Feb. 25, I thought my life had ended,” Patel said, as tears rolled down his face. “Shame and dishonor not only fell upon me, but upon my family and our family name.”

Patel’s wife, Sonal Patel, tried to console her husband as he detailed being arrested as one of the “monsters of human trafficking.”

Golden said Martin County Sheriff’s deputies went to Patel’s home and told Sonal her husband was on video paying money for sex acts inside Florida Therapy Spa in Stuart on Nov.19.

“To show her his picture as causing her to believe that was him at that spa is just unconscionable,” said David Golden, Patel’s attorney.

“When they told me what the charges were I couldn’t catch my breath,” Sonal Patel said. “I was led to believe the man I love and trust with our lives not only broken the trust, but brought shame to our family name.”

Last week, Martin County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Dougherty said Patel was wrongfully identified as having patronized the spa, and charges were dropped against the 47-year-old.

The confusion happened when investigators ran the tags on a blue Porsche that left the spa, which was registered to a woman with the last name of Patel. Dougherty said they identified a man with the last name Patel, who they say seemed identical to the man in the surveillance video.

“There is no connection between that vehicle and their property, or his family at all,” said David Golden, Patel’s attorney. “We’re seeking compensation to right this wrong and we will be filing suit.”

Patel owns two businesses and has two young daughters. He’s originally from India, and says his culture is based on dignity and character.

“This did not have to happen, and there is nothing that can erase the hell my family and I’ve been through,” Patel said.

Following the news conference, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said in a statement, “When we discovered that Mr. Patel was mistakenly identified and arrested, we personally met with him to further investigate. As a result, we notified the media and immediately began actions to pay his expenses and start the process of expunging his misdemeanor arrest record. Because Mr. Patel has obtained an attorney and announced his intentions to sue the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, we must limit further public comment.”

  7. So this department watched supposedly enslaved women perform multiple sex acts on multiple men and let it go on for several months to you know, build a case. Now we see multiple men being wrongly accused and charged. Every single cop involved with this needs to be fired, the county sued into bankruptcy, and a clear message sent to law enforcement across the nation. Focus on actual crimes which are harming people. Fucking morons.

This entire thing is starting to stink similar to that case years ago in NYC where the police flipped a madam running a high priced call ring. They started recording the encounters for three years and the "Johns" were among the city's wealthy and powerful. Did they prosecute the "Johns"? Only if they did not follow the demands of the DA & police to provide favors and cash. The DA demanded favors from the powerful to enhance their careers & protect their jobs while the cops went with straightforward demands for cash from the wealthy. Those who did not play ball got prosecuted. Eventually the entire situation blew up. This was about two/three decades back

  10. Seems like they focused more on the Johns voluntarily going in and spending money rather than the sex slave workers who were being forced into sex acts and this was already proven well before they swooped in.
