But if he's pulling in "six figures" from sponsors then he is working for his paycheck everyday which would explain why he spend a couple hours trading live everyday. it's called babysitting people for a paycheck. he is a likeable guy though. I would say he's one of the most likeable day traders on youtube. no one is going to spend 3 or 4 hours everyday talking for nothing. it's amazing that some guys do it when they aren't getting paid the big bucks. but they try and monetize in other ways like selling their own course or access to a discord. patrick does that too though has a lifetime membership in his community for an affordable four hundred and something bucks. for lifetime! now that's a great deal. as long as he sticks around. no one gives lifetimes for such a low price.
still, lets say you work 3 hours per day and get paid $150,000 per year. Weekends off, kind of but you still make a few short 8 or 10 minute videos on weekends. In total say you work an average of 4 hours per day including weekends. I'm sure he does. So that's just shy of 30 hours per week to get a six figure salary. Plenty of people do that in other lines of work. No big deal...but still it's pretty amazing if he's actually doing it. Nurses have to pull 12 hour shifts but I think they make $500,000 per year. And some of them only might make half that. But they're doing just as well as Patrick I would imagine. Difference being, he's in control of his life 100%. Pretty much...
patrick made too much money in the top step combine on friday so he has to trade again on monday and make 500 bucks then he's funded.
Trading 9-10 contracts at a clip. Not hard to do with fake money. Don't get me wrong, he has a brilliant business plan. Pay a bit of money to TST to trade a combine with fake $$$, and get rewarded 10x in real $$$ by all the YT clicks.
The business plan is he is sponsored by TST. So I'm assuming they pay him and not just a little but alot. Maybe that's why he's talking about them all the time. He even got a video uploaded and scheduled to play on sunday. That dude is working day in and day out. But weekends are easy for him since he doesn't have to livestream for 3 hours or however long he does. I think he's a decent trader though. He could probably make a living just doing that.
I was wrong. he doesn't take sundays off. to participate in his live streams (make comments), you have to become a member of his youtube channel. i think it's $4.99 per month. he came up with a list of like 4 or 5 new rules recently and that's one of them...
lucky for patrick, no markets are open on saturdays because then he would be live streaming every single day. what a grind. even 6 days a week is a grind although is sunday livestream was not as lengthy as his daily ones from M-F.
patrick is like fusion energy. he never runs out of power to make videos. always a new video popping up: i really need to pay attention. he's giving away one of his strategies for FREE. but i think it has to do with VWAP which I'm not sure VWAP looks the same on everyone's price chart. How do you base a strategy on an indicator that prints differently on different price charts on different charting services, etc? I guess patrick just grinds through it and plows ahead!
some of these people on patrick's livestream seem kind of clueless and keep asking dumb questions about top step which he sometimes answers in one or two word sentences. it must get old having to deal with that. they could research it but no. they ask patrick!
