Yeah, but doesn't CMT also teach Fibonacci and Elliot and who knows what else? Pfft. I'm not suggesting that volume is necessarily irrelevant, but CMT's position on the matter probably is.
The CMT textbooks I'm reading/have read, all give credibility to Volume. Perry Kaufman makes a key point; Volume is tricky intra day due to certain times always have increased Volumes than other times. Fibs @wxytrader , or just use 33, 50 and 66% seem to occur with some regularity. EW. hindsight stuff. Hard/impossible to trade it forwards.
How about 25% or 55% or 75%, and so on? Baader-Meinhof phenomenon, also known as the frequency illusion. This cognitive bias occurs when something we've recently focused on or learned about seems to appear more frequently than it actually does. Just saying.
