Try the American Red Cross. I don't believe they are controlled by "Haitian Despots." QUOTE]Quote from MohdSalleh: I want to donate but i am afraid my $$$ will go to the pockets of the haitian despots [/QUOTE]
Careful now, atheists don't believe- they just have reasons to not believe. It's a huge difference ya know! Sorta like jobs created or saved...or funded.
Indubitably ... Yet are we not all defined by our belief structures? Isn't belief a core characteristic of the very discovery nature of mans desire to know and explore? I personally see belief as not at all the same as "faith." I see belief as core to the creative processes in man ... mans ability to assess information and reason and make creative connections and jumps in logic and reasoning. As I understand it belief is a human design and intellect issue enabling us to view our world outside of ourselves and assess and evaluate discoveries and creative efforts and their benefits or costs. [E.G. - Every baby exercises belief when crawling on a carpet ... the discovery is worth the slight discomfort of carpet rash knees.]
yep, that really works . The notion that no belief is belief is just about dumber than a fart in a church.
Youâve endorsed and condoned the âjudgmentalismâ of Pat Robinson on other people. Then you say those who challenge that - are being judgmental. Add self-contradictory to your self-serving self-righteousness. Unable to justify or substantiate the sheer maniacal assertion that natural disasters are divine intervention along with those corresponding judgmental remarks against people suffering an earthquake, you try to hang your own despicable shortcomings of classic fundamentalist religious belief onto anyone who points out those false claims and unsavory superstitions . Your rants about others ranting is sounding very hollow.
So can we safely assume that you ascribe to the great unwashed masses that "religion is the opium of the people"? And can we also safely assume that you know who made the quote?
