Daily Summary for Monday 07/12/2010: S 1075.75 cover 2 @ 1073.75 +2/contract cover 1 @ 1071 +4.75 total +8.75 L 1074.50 move stop and s/o @ 1072 -2.50/contract total -7.50 The true stop on the 74.50 long was 1069.50, which was not hit, but we had moved the stop up to 1072. The HOD cluster proved to be strong resistance today (1076.50-1078). The live trading session caught both the HOD and the LOD (for the personal account there was a LONG @ 1067.50). The live trading session was well received. We look forward to hearing the feedback from those in attendance. Based on the feedback received, we will decide whether there is interest enough to warrant holding future live session. uh oh, here we go........i hope I'm wrong but looks like we have another one. Keywords WE in the above paragraph. Thought you were just one trader by yourself? And why are you starting to sound more and more proper and "corporate" in your writing and advertising your FREE live calls session on every post? I don't mean to sound so skeptical, but this is an indicator of what we have seen a hundred times on ET. Pretty soon, you'll be asking everyone if they want to join your personal "free" chatroom and then after awhile tell everyone, "I have decided that I can no longer offer my services free."
There isn't a problem with that, is there? If someone calls live trades, proves themselves capable of generating a decent profit over time, has decent risk management, then offers trading room access for a fee, and traders sign up. what's the problem with that?
all i know is it was a fun day-nobodies blood pressure got out of control -and all calls were made in advance - the only down side was that the skype site sounded chattery at times and was difficult to understand the voice talking but the typed out print was there for back up -great job WE enjoyed it
your probably right, but I have to agree with Nodoji. As long as the trades are legit and posted in real time, and he's not hiding his losers, I dont see a problem if and when he decides to charge a fee.
Nothing as long as they are a paying sponsor and let their intentions be known up front before baiting anyone.
I guess all people have to eat ... On the other hand you'd wonder why somebody with a cash machine would set up a business selling trade signals, and even more, would sneak some free advertising on a board open only to paying sponsors Maybe you're just paranoid ...
nothing doji, but volente beat me to the problem i have with it. I hate seeing these guys act like they are just regular traders and the next thing you know trying to sell stuff to people. I mean, really, who is the WE he is referring to? And I always love the prop. indicator thing. Every one of these guys always has one of those so you have to stay with them to get it. I don't have a problem if he just comes out and says in the first place he has a room with live calls and he wants customers and pays baron for his advertising. Probably already has one of these rooms setup and trying to get some more customers by baiting newbies into following him by setting a goal of reaching a million in 6 months when he and we all know damn well that will never happen. You know newbies always love these crazy threads and flock to them at the sound of a million. And btw, when was the last time you saw a trading room where the guy was actually profitable longterm if you followed every trade the guy did? Why would someone want to lead a room giving calls to a bunch of newbies who will constantly badger them with questions if they are so profitable on their own? Just doesn't make sense. You might say, "well maybe he is just a buddhist and looking to help everyone for some good karma," but damn, he would be the first. Or like charts said, maybe im just paranoid after the years of snakeoil salesman hounding us for our last cents. What do you guys think the % is that my suspicions are right?
Actually I was in a trading room for a long time with a guy who called what he was watching, then called his entries, stops and targets, and was very profitable long term, and it was all free, and in fact he posted his trades on his journal here in real time as well. I never once traded his calls. I decided instead to learn how he traded and why it worked. I needed to make a living by trading, not to make a living by doing what someone else was doing without any understanding of why he was trading this way, or of why it worked. What if he disappeared? Then how would I make a living? I now trade very much like he does and am consistently profitable for the same reasons he is, even though we trade completely different things.
