That really is the best price I ever heard and we shop that stuff like crazy. Ours go into suburban Chicago. Is your cousin the salesman or something?
I'd found them a year ago when I ran a different business and we were pricing high speed internet. We went with dsl through another provider. Several months later I received a callback to check in from a sales rep. and we happened to be looking for high speed at the our new offices. The price was right so we went for it. The contracts available were from 1-3 years. Same monthly fee. The setup was $500 for a 1 yr. contract and $250 for 2+ egix recently gobbled up nearly every internet provider in my area. That might be a reason for the low prices.
Please forgive my ignorance but what exactly is a T1? how is it different from a DSL connection? thanks
A T-1 is a digital line that has a data capacity of 1.544 million bits per second. (mbps) Cable and DSL's are usually hooked into T-1's (or t-2,3,4) at your provider. T-1 lines have been popular for business for a long time and have better up time than cable or dsl technologies because T-1's have been around for longer, and telco's are well versed in fixing/maintaining them. When they do go down, they are usually up very quickly. Cable sometimes has higher bandwidth, but a T-1's ping time is always better (more responsive) than cable or dsl.
