    Vulture,

No, no - I only predict worthless threads! This thread is good.

I will comment tomorrow - the superego stuff has wasted all my time again - I got to cut that shit out [i't's funny tho :) ]

  2. I used to scalp. Would not attempt that on anything less than DSL. Cable can have too high latency. T1 and Frame are nice... and expensive. I use T1 for one reason: dependability. My circuit is monitored in real-time. If something goes wrong the telco knows about it before I do.

By the way, I use a new swing trading system now. Slow entry/exits. I can trade via 56K now and save a lot of money. It is true that the cost of a T1 pales to the profitability of trading, but it will still be nice to hang on to that $900 a month.

My T-1 line here in IL costs me only $500 per month.
The setup was $250 and the router cost $800.
Best connection I've ever had. T-1 lines have much less downtime than DSL, Cable, etc.

  4. Good price; what is the duration of your contract and who is the vendor?

I know a guy who just rent High speed fiber optic line from Sprint $500 per year. He bought, installed his own router & server. He is very happy about the system & cost.

  6. That works out to DSL prices; is it a DSL?

Not sure why you need T1. Cable and DSL should be good enough for trading.

  9. That is one good price; we have a lot of them from different providors and the cheapest is around $800. Are you sure that is a full T1 and not a partial?

    Yeah, Full T-1.
It was also the best price I had seen in awhile.
    I'm downstate.
