Parler Site Offline After Amazon Web Services Pulls Hosting

Discussion in 'Politics' started by themickey, Jan 11, 2021.

  1. From a legal perspective it is an interesting legal case.

If Parler has four or five other choices on where to go host their site, then they should LOSE like the gay couple that sued to have their cake made when the baker said no. Court seemed to respect the business decision of the baker and couple could go somewhere else (some real defects in that reasoning in the precedent it sets but ok.).

Parler has no constitutional right to a web hosting service with a private company and if IBM or other web hosting services are avaialble then Parler's suit will lose unless conservatives get hypocritical.

It is not censorship when private entities boot someone out for violation of terms of service. All Amazon has to do is publicly out all those fucktards who wrote violent posts leading up to the rally as its proof and case dismissed.

Do you think all those secret Parler posters want to be outed in a public lawsuit??? Watch the rats run from the ship.

Do they legally have that unencrypted data? Can they authenticate it? They'd be outing nicks, not necessarily identities.

I heard that Parler was hacked, but don't know the details.

  3. They could post the posts from the nicknames but I guarantee the people who posted anonymously will shit a brick over the fear of more info getting posted.

But if Amazon posts some of the more violent posts, I assume the FBI might step in and say with a warrant "We want the information and ISP behind that nick to speak with "FuckCongress" that posted haha

It takes Donny to make a personal enemy of the man who owns the hosting service his cult are using...

He didn't quit, he was a free agent that was not picked up the following season. That appeared systemic, and he won a settlement over it. Now queue up "this in no way is the NFL admitting to any wrongdoing" blah blah.

Your $14 million bit, tries to imply he made "a big mistake". No, he didn't.

And at any rate... what did Trump have to say about players kneeling? That's right, he wanted them "the hell out of there", "fire them". So there's our forward guidance for treatment of the Capitol mob.

So then Trump backs the platform Besos can pull the rug out from under.

He is such a strategic thinker.

Being a shrewd politician is a skill. When a 70 yo rookie starts at the top, you could fail pretty
    hard.
