1. Soros skews the totals. 2. 99% of hedge funds are in NY or CT. Who are the Senators there? The money doesn't go to some Congressman from Wyoming. When D'Amato was the GOP Senator before Schumer he raised millions from Wall Street. Ironically it was his coziness on a few IPO's that cost him the election. Now Schumer and Hillary raise money from the same set of donors.
You'll understand if I hesitate to accept all of your assertions at face value. However, regarding your remark about raising millions from Wall Street, please note that the linked article distinguishes between the "greater securities/investments community" and the hedge funds. Therefore, all else being equal, and even if what you are saying is an accurate characterization, hedge funds still seem to favor (for lack of a better word) the Democrats.
Morgan Banks contributions mirror the partisan make of Congress. http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/summary.php?id=D000000103 Intuitivly I don't see hedge funds as being too big a contributer to campaigns. The typical fund just doesn't have the same interaction with government as an IB involved in M&A, IPO's, lending and brokerage services. I mean I doubt a guy in Greenwich with 200m in assets dedicated to emerging debt markets would feel the need to be a contributer to Chris Dodd. If you're talking about Hedge Fund managers personal contributions that's different.
Game..set...match. Federer over Murray in 4 sets and Pabst over BLSH in straights sets. What an ass kicking.
Pabst, this is indeed a winning post, if it turns out that Ron Pauls holds some of the extremist views that Palin seems to hold. Are you aware that Dr. Paul believes that claptrap about the earth being 6000 years old, or holds the insane view that child rape victims should be forced to bear children? It was my impression that Dr. Paul's statements reflected a rational faith-informed view of public policy (even if that includes opposition to Roe vs. Wade) and not the kind of thing we're seeing attributed to Palin. In fact it's my impression that Dr. Paul thinks the government shouldn't attempt to legislate morality. And once again, the right can froth away about how the left is bringing all of this up in an effort to smear Palin... but the fact remains that it's out there to be brought up. That is not the fault of the left. Just like I waited for American Muslims to come out with an organized, unambiguous and massively nationwide rally against 9/11 (and waited in vain, I might add) I am waiting for Palin to come out and state publicly that she isn't so idiotic as to believe in the more extremist things that were listed in the OP. Let's see what happens.
The WSJ has an article stating that the Democrats have dropped a big team of people into Palin's home state to dig up dirt on her... and Obama is in denial that she is getting the white woman vote, he says people can't be swayed that fast!! Pure denial there Obama, it's a psychological problem, Ok? http://www.drudgereport.com/

That is the problem with right-wing nut Taliban. They will LIE through their teeth and not think twice. Their lack of character shows in their govt. policy results. Look at what their decade long State-level, Congressional and presidential ownership gets americans. They LIE outright and then attack anyone who points out their blatant LIES
