Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness is not having the state decide if you have to bear a child once pregnant...especially if you are raped.

Men want to control women's reproductive processes, well, what else is new...

When it comes to abortion, fess up, you would be thrilled if all non whites were aborted...

Look I didn't come here to debate abortion politics. I have no use for your god or any other god, as is my First Amendment right, so that mystical mumbo jumbo is a nonstarter with me.

But I do have a word about that abortion = slavery horseshit your ilk likes to toss around these days.

The people who were the abolitionists were the LIBERALS, not the conservatives of their day. The same people who are anti-choice on a women's reproduction rights today mostly would have been pro-slavery back then. Because while you just "think" the bible condemns abortion, I know it condones slavery in both the Old and the New Testaments.

Romney or Lieberman will not carry such distracting baggage with them.

I'm sure you know polls invariably show men in favor of abortion in greater numbers than women. The notion that a female legislature would be more choice than a male dominated body is fallacious. No evidence at all. And among younger chicks, fuggedaboudit. Choice sentiment at all time lows. (a lot of that has to do with the increase in Latinos)

In the states who would ban abortion if they were able, are the state legislators primarily men or women?

It is about who has the power, and the power in American government, both state and federal, as well as the Churches, is abundantly in the hands of the males...not females.
