  2. The theocrats and nut-cases will start listening when Jesus is unable to save them from hyperinflation.

  3. We're going to get 15-20% unemployment anyway.... and trying to artificially prop things up at these artificial levels will do monumental damage.

We should be allowing the crap to die while conserving capital for the rebuild. The way we're going and at best, we'll squander precious capital and be in a weaker position to rebuild. At worst, we'll suffer a fatal blow in inflation and currency debasement resulting in the bankruptcy of all but the richest Americans.

  4. A marvelous display of verbal incontinence. The one thing that she repeated over and again is that she is stepping down as governor for the good of Alaska. I can't find fault with that logic.

  6. Anyone care to speculate as to what could have possibly motivated her to do this?
Some scandal about to break? Extortion/blackmail? A lucrative private-sector job offer she couldn't pass up?

  9. Yes. And that is ok to want to have more money, and have ambition. But her speech to tell everyone she is resigning for the good of Alaska, and also she talks about her son who someone is calling names, and her decision came with prayer is obvious to people that she is not honest of the true reason. So she want the people to think she is a victim, and she is holy, and only doing this to "pass the ball" for the team of Alaska to win. Maybe she think that uneducated people will believe her, but everyone can see how fake it is.

  10. These days, I suspect every politician is driven by personal ambition...

Ambition for money, power, religious passion to control the lives of others, etc.

The bottom line question then becomes the, does their personal blind ambition coincide with what is best for America?

From reading threads in this forum for a long time, I am convinced there is a segment of the population that would eat the butt out of a skunk if a politician would lower their taxes and/or promote Jesus...

Palin is an opportunist, just like other politicians.

I understand that, which is why I see her as fake.

Just like her fake poorly painted lips:
