mike4628, Congrats on your continued success with your pairs. Can you elaborate a bit about your trading style and software package you use etc. Sounds like you have quite a lot of pairs open at any one time. Appreciate if you can share a bit or however you feel comfortable with. Thanks again trendy
I use Tradefair, only because their spreads seem to be the tightest and also I have a long relationship with Betfair from whom I make most of my income via automated algorithms I run on a few of their inefficient sports markets. Their interface is quite clunky and aimed at the man in the street but their spreads are narrow compared other other spread companies. One interesting thing is that they are due to open a CFD exchange in a few months which could change the whole ball game. I'm down as a Beta-tester so I'll report back once I've dome some testing, which should be around September/October time.

I have closed two pairs today: ACE-CB for profit 3,38% EXR-SPG for loss -0.075% I have several trades still opened, but there are now all losing trades. I am now working on some kind of autotrader that would close my pairs position automatically. I have noticed that already few of my losing trades would be profitable, if I would watch the pair and close it on exit signal that I missed due to my other activities. M
Does anyone have any pairs trading experience with high beta/volatility stocks against the index (such as dia or spy) etf? thanks, Walt
Any thoughts on MSFT / QQQQ? It's been range bound and bounced off ~0.56 since 2006. Check out a weekly chart.
