You hold until you get 8.5 similarily your out is -8.5? And you entry point is 2 std deviations?

Thanks I appreciate it. Just download the software now, in the process of messing with it a bit.

    Max theoretical risk is: (((Trade Value)/2) -8.5%) +/- (((Trade Value)/2)+/- n%)

Don't have a profit target. Just exit the pair when it reverts to rolling mean.

    Corred,

do you look at the fundamentals at all? Float? Price/Book? Whethere or not a company earns or not?

Do you take any of these variables into consideration?

I never realyl have, however given some of the regressions against the mean that I found myself holding a bag on, I'm considering looking a bit more closes at the fundamentals.

hey coreed first i want to say thank you for your contribution to the forum and second i would like to ask you if you use IQ feed to get up to date quotes or do you just use the 15 mins of delay and try to get close to that enter/exit price? I use Redi Plus as my trading platform and was finding a way to somehow get uptodate quotes from there.

    thanks mate

Like I said earlier I am doing stat arb, so am not really concerned with market cap, P/E, PEG ratio, etc..

I like to keep it simple and am not a big fan of optimization.

What I do look at before putting on the trade are:

    Pending earnings releases
    Company guidance
    Analyst up/downgrades
Pending ex-dividend dates =< 15 days from trade date.

If these factors are stretching the pair, then it isn't a statistical aberration producing the signal, so unlikely I will put on the trade.

No, I don't. Have real time through my broker. Even with PTF using data with 15 min delay, have not found significant enough deviation from exit/entry signals levels to justify going real time IQ route.

Would sign up in a minute if IQ offered Euro bourses real time. Integrity of data from Yahoo for non-US exchanges is low.

You use Redi. Do you trade through Bright ? If so, PM me, I have a few questions.

    New Trade: NYSE Brokers

    Sold AMTD @ 19.27
    Bought MS @ 29.57

Unfortunately, entered at Layer 1 earlier in session .
Layer 2 signal triggered around close so did not have enough time to enter trade. Maybe I should get IQ real time feed after all.
Will add Layer 2 if opening prices are unchanged at the open tomorrow.

This trade is what a perfect set up looks like to me. Bound to be a loser
    :p

I would like to add, that the level of customer service at Pairfinder is absolutely impotent.
