This morning, I called the trading line on OXPS to try and find out what the VIX SOQ Settlement price was, and i was on hold for like 15 minutes before the guy figured out that the price isn't released until noon. How the hell do you work at a brokerage, then not know when the settlement price comes out for an option that expires that day. At the beginning, he wasn't even sure if the April VIX options were trading today, I had to tell him no, there's a special opening quotation that determines the settlement price. You'd think that a brokerage named OPTIONSXPRESS would know how the damn VIX options work.
