Overwhelming Majority Of Americans Support Gov't Health Care Even If Taxes Rise

  1. Agendas? So you are happy to pay 1 trillion of your tax money to establish oil outposts in Iraq, led by an ex oil company CEO?
Are you that blind and stupid?

  2. Before you start making silly claims, better take a look at your higher taxes before you start claiming your healthcare is free.

All my canadian friends who moved to california all said the same thing. Healthcare was cheaper and better here. The money they saved on taxes far out weighed what they considered cheap monthly costs for private healthcare which they also claimed far surpassed the crap they got in canada.

  3. Please.

I'm neutral on the political scene, being independent, but Bush has given welfare money to the military-industrial complex on a size and scale that would make any politician, past, present or future, Democrat, Republican or other, cringe.

We could pay for universal health care coverage with 10 cents on the dollar of what we pay for in terms of military equipment that never even gets used, and ends up rusting in some defense storage facility.

Nuclear subs at 3 billion a copy - fighter jets at 40 million a piece. 450 billion dollar defense budget. Much of that spent on shit we don't need, and shit we don't use.

Please. Republicans are big spenders. And they spend very inefficiently.

  4. It is so sad to ses so many ET members being so unaware of what is really going on in the US. The propaganda system that the US elites have been able to put in place is truly awesome. government is bad, privatization of everything is good. No health care to those who can't afford it, lower taxes, we are # 1, god bless USA, if you do not like it leave it etc. etc ad nauseam. It is so sad and depressing, Makes me wanna pack things up and head back for Europe.

  5. I do not disagree with all of what you say but if you cannot see the flaw in universal health care then god or spaghetti monster save you.

As I said so eloquently and concisely before: "Most Americans are terribly unhealthy and there are not enough healthy people earning enough money to support all those in wretched health."

Person singing praises for "free" universal healthcare canadian style conveniently forgot to mention that Canadians as well as Europeans take advantage of "medical vacations" just like Americans. I cannot imagine why, don't they all have a health care coverage??

  7. Then go alread :D

You seem completely unaware of the principles this country was formed on.

The fouding fathers would be entirely against socialized healthcare, welfare, big government, high taxes, and pro national defense.

What is sad is that you are completely unaware that these are exactly the principles this country was formed on. People who fight against this bullshit are doing what they are supposed to do, they are being americans and following this countries founders principles.

It is you who is out of touch.
Maybe you should pack up, because you align with europeans values, not american.

I not sure what will work with healthcare, but the prices are way to high, thats for sure.
I have a 61 year old uncle, who pays about $800 a month for medicine, for him and his wife. Do to open heart surgery, a few years back, all of his insurance was canceled, and he cant get anymore.
He still works, been a cabinet maker, most of his life. He makes around $16 an hour. It takes more than a weeks salary, for him, just on medicine. If he didnt have his house paid for, he would be in really bad shape.
I blame them all: doctors, hospitals, drug companies, insurance companies, etc.... and the government, who regulates this crap.
It is nothing but greed!!!!! Most Doctors, are just in it for the $$$$. Charging someone $175 for 10 minutes of your time, is just the same as stealing.

  10. I work in the medical staffing business and many of the physicians just care about how much money they can earn, kinda like traders.
