THE KEY IS SOME TYPE OF PRICE CONTROL ON DRUGS AND HOSPITAL COSTS and a whole new system to give informationm to patients without going to the doctor . But noone talks about it. Way too many doctors in the US at least and in most other developed countries are in it for the money, no doubt about it as far as I am concerned. They plunder Medicare and Medical. And I have got evidence, I know someone on Medicare and this person is a cash cow/guinea pig for the doctors. Unbelievable, tests after tests, new drugs after new drugs, regular appointments every months etc. Now is this person really sick ? Nooo! Yeah among different non life-threatening, non incapacitating, and almost unpainful ailments due to old age they told her many years ago she had cancer and gave her radiations. But have they found anything? a tumor ? Noo ! nothing. Still many years after the radiations the person is convinced she has cancer and could die if it "comes back" I am telling you what's going on is beyond belief in some particular cases. Also nowadays you don't need a GP anymore,just go to medlineplus.org and you will get all the info you need todiagnose yourself like any other doctor. I am exaggerating but hardly Just cross verify with other websites, or call a doctor if you want to be extra careful. Bottomline is a lot of folks should no longer have to go to the doctor toget a prescription. Get on generics. Calm down the overzealous doctors at hospitals who need to make machine investments profitable. And then you cut costs by 20-30% at least.
Price control is NOT the solution. Government is the problem, not health care providers or drug companies, although providers gladly take whatever the gov. is willing to pay. That's not the provider's fault, it's still the gov. If a multi-trillion dollar organization said they would pay you $200 for every visit to a Medicare patient or $5K for every cat scan, youâd be making the rounds and magnetizing people 24x7 without a second thought. People need to stop laying the blame on providers. Itâs not their fault. This is the socialist view of reality and, in addition to victimization and guilt, it is used as a tool to get into your wallet and gain control over your life. All providers and health care consumers are the victim of government intervention. This problem will solve itself when providers are competing for your business, not for government handouts. When you see a Starbucks, KFC, and McDonalds in your local hospital then youâll know weâve made it. I agree with everything else you say.
No, I'm sorry I just don't see that at all. The most recent head of the Senate's brother runs one of the largest HMO's. The president refuses to allow negotiations by the government on prescription prices nor does he allow drugs to be imported. He tries to stop stem cell research -- which could save giga bucks in addition to giga lives. It's not the government. It's the crony politicians who are funded by or have interests in these "providers." They issue absurd directives that leave the constituents they are supposed to serve high and dry. It's all there in black and white. It's not a socialist problem. It's a capitalist problem pure and simple.

Even many uninsured families pay thousands of dollars in taxes for the health care of others. Clearly the government employee costs you so decry are a pittance. I'm too tired right now for the rest but you just haven't thought through the consequences of your proposal at all. What happens to the 50% of the health care system the government no longer supports? What happens to the jobs of those people? As a member of the Church of the Painful Truth, and a Libertarian, I believe the following to be true: 1) Noone has a right to Healthcare. If you can't afford health insurance then you'd better drop the cig's, start exercising and eat more veggie & fruits. Or, work that extra night shift at Wendy's to make the payment. 2) Anything the government does, the Private Sector does better. Can you name one thing the government does well, except maybe blow things up. Look at our tax code....what a pathetic mess. The FairTax is the best idea in decades and they won't even consider it. Unbelievable 3) Less government is better. For some of you guys the Daytrader Pattern Rule is an example. For me, to get some new contacts yesterday at CostCo I first had to pay $70 to the Doctor for a government mandated eye appointment. I've been wearing contacts for 30 yrs.. I didn't need the government's protection, neither do daytraders. 4) Liberals are always happy about higher taxes, so that more can be given to the Have-Nots. 98% of Have-Nots choose to be Have-Nots. As far as the other 2%, I say lets help those people. By the way, it's interesting to know that Conservatives ACTUALLY give more to charities than Liberals. 5) Under Hillary's HealthCare Plan it quite possibly would be illegal to go to a doctor of your own choice. You think you won't pay.......you'll pay big time in other ways......you wait and see....it's coming.

how often does the average person need a CAT scan? If they really want to they can pay for it. American take medical vacations to India and Columibia for cheap operations. I have never paid 1¢ for health care in my life. OHHH what a horrible evil, anti-god socialist regime that I live in! We are surely doomed! See you all in hell (I will get free health care there, too) We are barbarians! In my city of 3-4 million we barely have 100 murders per year. We are evil barbarians I tell ya!
